What we collect

Your email address, if you create an account, send a correction or report a sale.
Correction reports: what you tell us is wrong on a page.
Sale reports: the car, VIN or chassis number, year, mileage, sale price, sale date, sale type, city/state, any notes, and the receipt or invoice you upload.

Why we collect it

To check that a reported sale is real.
To email you your free Buyer’s Report.
To make our reports more accurate.

What appears in reports

Only anonymized sale details: the car, year, mileage, price, date and region. We never publish your name, contact details, or your invoice or receipt.

Your VIN or chassis number is kept private and never published. We use it only to verify the sale and prevent duplicate submissions.

How long we keep it

Invoices and receipts are deleted within 30 days after a sale is verified or rejected.
Your email address is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Form submissions and uploaded files are stored with our website host, Netlify.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure traffic to this site, such as which pages are visited. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We do not send your name or email address to Google Analytics. Google’s privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
